Blurb

Everything changed the night my dad died.

The night I met Saint, Galen, Caz, and Theo.

Those manipulative a-holes set out to ruin me after our hot night together, but they didn’t realize you can’t destroy something that’s already broken. And it only works if the victim cares.

Which I don’t.

Because I’ve been in hell for years, and nothing penetrates the steel walls I’ve erected.

Until The Sainthood decides I belong to them and cracks appear in my veneer. Their cruel games, harsh words, and rough touch awakens something inside me, and now, I’m in trouble.

They draw me deeper into their dangerous world, until I’m in the middle of all the violence and gang warfare, tangled up in all the secrets and lies, and there’s no turning back.

Because they own me.

And nothing has ever felt so right.

I’m exactly where I should be.

But with enemies on all sides, survival becomes a deadly game with no guarantees.

And, sometimes, saints become sinners.

Due to mature content, this book is recommended to readers aged eighteen and over. This is a full-length 95k-word dark romance #whychoose novel with enemies-to-lovers/bullying themes. Please read the note at the start of the book. Cannot be read as a standalone and ends with a cliffhanger. Book 1 of 3.

Resurrection: A Dark High School Romance (The Sainthood – Boys of Lowell High Book 1) by Siobhan Davis. This was a crazy bully romance! Right off the bat its a fast burn with a 5-way! Harlow gets the devastating news that her father has died and then walks right in on her boyfriend cheating on her! Way to start out a book Siobhan! Harlow is also out for vengeance. I love that she kicks-ass for a living and can fight for herself. No more meek MC’s for us! Diesel is her trainer and we definitely see some chemistry between the teacher and the student. Then, we come and find that Harlow must now live with these 4 sexy as sin Sainthood members, Saint, Galen, Caz, and Theo, who just happen to be the same guys she had a 5-way with! Her mom, Giana, is getting re-married to the president of the Sainthood and along with him he brings these 4 boys to live with and go to school with Harlow! The hurt just keeps on piling up. Harlow must now look at her tormentor from when she was kidnapped. She grew from that experience, but to look at him everyday and to keep a sin face, NOPE! This book has so much drama, angst, bullying, it really has it all for us.

Harlow wants to take her vengeance and she will by infiltrating the Sainthood and getting these guys under her thumb. She wants to take it down from the inside and make them pay. The Sainthood is like the Mafia. They have chapters and presidents and lots of people to get through to the top. Throughout the book, though it’s not easy, Saint is very possessive and even though they share girls, he doesn’t seem like he wants to, he wants Harlow for himself. Caz is the funny, sexy brute that you just want to see Harlow and him keep hooking up. They are the pranksters. Theo is the shy, nerdy guy who has a past history with Harlow. They loved each other, they were their everything, until he turned on her. Galen is the mystery guy. They seem to be getting along and have some chemistry brewing. Harlow doesn’t want her heart broken but no one ever does, and she goes and falls for these sexy guys. I would totally fall for them also, especially Theo, he seems like my type of guy. The cliffhanger isn’t so bad because you have the second book right away 🙂 but it is still a good one! Galen just surprises us and the WTF moment happens.

Author Spotlight: K. Webster

Author Spotlight: K. Webster

We had the pleasure of asking K. Webster some questions for our Author Spotlight! If you don’t know, K. Webster is my queen of Taboo writing and writes some amazing taboo, standalone books and even some great series! These books are usually darker and definitely on the taboo side.

On too the questions!

Q: What got you into writing? A: I always loved reading and wanted to write a book, but felt intimidated by the process. It wasn’t until I went to a book signing for a few favorite authors and went with a friend that I realized maybe this wasn’t such a pipe dream after all.  My friend (who wasn’t even close to being as big of a book nerd as I am) told me she was self-publishing a book. I was so blown away and thought, “If she can do it, I most definitely can.” I came back home, incredibly inspired, and ten days later I had my first book! Been tapping away ever since.

Q: What is your favorite book/series of yours? A: I think I’d have to say the War & Peace series. I loved delving into the dark, psychological elements of that series!

Q: Why write taboo stories vs others? A: I love those awkward, face-burning moments when I read taboo stories…so, naturally, I like to make my readers feel just as awkward as me.

Q:What is your favorite character from your books? A: Benny from Pretty Stolen Dolls.  He’s so multi-dimensional and psychotic and broken.  I just love him.

Q:What is the most difficult thing about writing? About writing taboo? A: I think the most difficult aspect is swallowing the pill that not everyone is going to like it, and some may even hate it passionately.  You have to be ready to accept negativity about what you write. It’s something I’ve had to learn along the way…to let those things roll off me and keep on moving forward.

Q:Any recommendations for someone looking to get into writing or transverse into the taboo subjects? A: I think if they’re looking to write taboo, they should read taboo.  I think reading always helps shape and mold us as authors. Reading is one of my biggest tools.  It helps me learn.

What is your favorite writing spot? A: My favorite writing spot is my recliner and I will NOT write anywhere but there.

What is your favorite vacation spot? A: My favorite vacation spot is the beach (Gulf Shores, Alabama) because it’s so peaceful and relaxing and warm.

What is your favorite food? A: My favorite food is probably meatloaf and I’m obsessed with coffee.

What is coming next from you? A: As far as what’s next….ALLLLL the things! I have so many things coming up! In the nearer future, I have The Free (a taboo story for those familiar with The Wild world) and Hood River Rat (a bully romance) which will be available in the Bully Me anthology.  Then, not long after that, I have Cocksure Ace which is a funny and sexy story about a cocky pilot and a sassy heroine which is an enemies-to-lovers romance.

Thank you again, K. Webster for answering our questions and helping us dive into the realm of dark romances and taboo series! Benny was definitely a surprise for us and we hope everyone enjoys his craziness as much as (Jacq) did! Let us know what you think below!

A breif recap of some of my favorite books:

The Glue

This book is MMF. The starting of this book will get you hot and bothered. Is it a MM romance? Is it a cheating romance? Is it a professor-teacher romance? It is alllll of the above! The scene in the in the professors office with our MC, OMG sooo hot! And then when the twist happens. NO Spoilers here…yet. 😉

Vlad

Well if you are looking for a mafia romance this series is for you. All books are standalone but should be read in order to understand the story. You think you have it easy? Try leaving with a family that literally has a game where your life is your value. Your lively hood is based off how well you can do in this came and if you win your own bounty, freedom? YES! Just yes, I loved this series. Heartbeat, drama, ugly cry!

Whipsers

This standalone is a trick! Right off the bat, you don’t know who you are dealing with, this book deals with some mental heath issues. Without any spoilers…this book has MANY characters that you will love and hate and then think, WTF just happened! The ending I am still trying to wrap my head around, but it was worth it. Yup, add to your TBR!

Coach Long

So here comes a taboo story. Girl is 18, coach is..well coach lol. She doesn’t mean to seduce him, she really wants to just be a student and get over with the year. This short read is perfect for the teacher-student romance. The shower scene after track practice, just go read that. I say just a lot. JUST DO IT! Taboo, ready, amazing. YES!

Pretty Stolen Dolls

You can find my review of Pretty Stolen Dolls here. This series is so dark romance and the perfect serial killer, some Stockholm syndrome, taboo, soo dark romance. The whole series just makes you think and wonder what is going to happen next!
