It’s hard to find a mask that you want to wear on your face all day. I couldn’t find one that I actually wanted to wear, and decided to create some out of my love for books! You can get your face masks and other products here!
Vengeance is NOT my middle name.
It’s in my blood.
It’s tattooed on my skin.
It’s with me 24/7. The thing that drives me.
It’s also what brings me to Rawley Heights. No one would willingly come here otherwise. But me? I don’t have a choice.
Here, everyone fears the Heights Crew. They’re not just some small-town gang, they’re the real deal. Crime. Sex. Murder. Angry, self-obsessed dudes with bad attitudes.
And they’re exactly who I need to get my vengeance from.
I have my work cut out for me, but don’t worry, they have no idea who they’re dealing with.
I’m counting on it.
Uppercut Princess is a dark high school enemies to lovers RH with bully themes.
This book has Fire! Kyla is our MC who is out for revenge. She has lost those closest to her and needs to devour those who took them from her. She has enrolled herself into the Heights with one goal, revenge. The only way she can do this is by getting “in” with the Heights Crew. She needs to impress Johnny, AKA Rocket, but along the way finds Oscar and Brawler….maybe Mag, still undecided about him. After proving herself Rocket falls for Kyla but doesn’t think he needs to keep his parts in his pants because, Kyla will be his in the end…so it doesn’t matter. So if you don’t like cheating, be warned. I LOVED this RH book. It was a little slow burn at the beginning but it picks up hot. The workout scenes with Brawler, woohoo! This book ends with a cliffhanger after Kyla is chosen to fight…oeeewee that ending!
“Liar, liar, pants on fire.”
The words scrawled on the back of my newest stalker mail makes my blood run cold. I have no idea if it’s the lie I know, or one that I don’t.
Since arriving back into Shadow Grove, I’ve been stalked, tormented, chased and almost killed. I’ve been lied to, repeatedly, by people I was growing to trust.
That word haunts me. Someone knows more about my life than I do. Someone is taunting me with answers and teasing me with secrets. Am I desperate enough to fall for more deception?
Archer and his boys made a huge mistake when they lied to me. They thought they could play me but they’re about to learn that they’ve met their match.
No one stabs Madison Kate and gets away with it.
LIAR is a full length (448 pages, 102,978 words) college/new adult romance with enemies-to-lovers/love-hate themes. This is a reverse harem novel, meaning the main character has more than one love interest. This is book TWO of FOUR in the series.
Liar by Tate James! Well you know that there is going to be mystery, drama, and action. This book has everything! It will keep you on your toes while you try to decide for yourself if Kody, Steel, and Archy are good enough to earn MK’s trust back. This book focused at lot more on Steel, who I love btw. The chemistry between Steel and MK is off the charts. Kody is so sweet and has a dark side to him as well. The steam! Right when two of the three boys gets on MK’s good side, NOPE! Blinded by the light…you know the song. Poor MK! She just can’t help but have a trusting heart. You can’t help but just binge this book! Archy is still a moody a**hole who can’t help but toe the line between lust and hate. MK, her pour heart, I just want to reach in and help it pump in the right direction! I’m still out on the verdict that her BFF has something to do with her stalker. MK is still being stalked, the barbies are creepy, there is still a killer out trying to hurt MK, and the three guys just don’t know how to open up. The secrets get even bigger. AH, cliffhanger because Tate James loves to tease us!! Seriously! That ending…..I don’t eve what to say it, but the third book is going to be a trip!
Starting over after my father’s sudden death was bad enough, but the four boys who rule Alstone College, my new university, are determined to make my life even more difficult. One in particular. Caiden Cavendish.
My nightmare. My shadow. My stepbrother.
My dad’s death was an accident… Lie.
My life isn’t in danger… Lie.
The Four won’t bring mayhem to my life… Lie.
I don’t want Caiden Cavendish… Lie.
Eeny, meeny, miny, mo.
The Four are coming for you, Snow.
Note: This book is not a standalone, and may contain triggers for some readers.
This bully romance is a hit! The Lies We Tell by Becca Steele has a lot of stepbrother vibe to it also but doesnt dive too deep into the taboo relationship. We have Winter and Cade who are just at each other’s throats. Cade just doesnt want anything to do with Winter….except her body. He is very hot and cold. One minute pushing her up against a car door and the next yelling at her to not touch him. I feel for Winter. She doesn’t know what to do because she doesn’t want him, but he keeps giving her mixed signals. And on TOP of it, she is dealing with her father’s death and trying to prove her bio mom, who hasn’t been any part of her life until now, killed him. The FOUR, Cade, Weston, Cass, and Z are not to be messed with. While Weston is acting like the sweet stepbrother, I am hoping something between him and Kinslee eventually pan out. I need their story! And then we end on a cliffhanger! Right after our two mains get it going on, NOPE. Learn to trust your girl! Loved this book, excited for the second! This book is definitely a fast burn, loved it!
Ho boy did this week go by! Extremely happy that it is Friday. We had the pleasure of interviewing K.A. Knight a fantastic RH writer with breathtaking worlds and epic characters. I love all of her characters and their different personalities. Currently I am working my way through Their Champion series and can find my review of The Wasteland here. And onto the good stuff.
1. What got you into writing? A: I first started writing when my nana got sick and I was looking after her. It became an escape for me, I had always enjoyed curating stories and poems but starting a book was a big thing for even for me. But I had a lot of emotions that I couldn’t get out any other way and I poured them down onto the paper. A strong untouchable woman (Worth) but damaged and haunted took over my mind. She was everything I needed to be at that time, strong and kick-ass, unrelenting and unbending. Once I finished the book, I sat back and realised it wasn’t enough. I had other voices (muses) in my head wanting to be let out. It took over my life, I would hide in the toilet at work to write and eventually when I become a full-time author I realised this wasn’t just a hobby or a job. This was who I was now.
2.What is your favorite book/series of yours? A: My favourite is always Their Champion Series. Maybe it’s because it was one of the first or that Worth just always holds a special place in my heart. She was was with me at the beginning of this journey and I don’t think I will ever be able to let her or the story go.
3. What got you into writing reverse harem books? A: Honestly, I don’t really remember. I was always a big reader and I stumbled upon RH by mistake and once I did I could never look back. I became obsessed with the idea of a woman getting to love more than one man and the complexities and issues that would surround such a relationship.
4. What is your favorite character from your books? (Or another book/series) A: Worth OFC, but also Dawn (Her Monsters Series) She has a unique look on the world, she has this mixture of fierce strength and pure softness. She wants to save everyone but she is willing to spill some blood to do it. She’s outspoken and strong and yet willing to love and trust. I think we could all do with a bit of her strength in our lives.
5. How did you come up with the characters from the series? A: Usually, a character will speak to me first, before any plot points or scenes I see them. The characters, sometimes it’s a song or a movie, or real life that inspires me and they take root until I flesh them out. I have to know what makes them tick, what do they love? What do they hate? What makes them cry and what makes them fight. My FMC’s always tend to be strong and I love playing with the different strength’s a person can have. Once I know what their personalities are like, I figure out how I want them to look, usually spending hours scouring the internet until I find the right model/picture.
6. What is the most difficult thing about writing? About writing reverse harem? A: One of the most difficult things about writing is the nerves. Even now after…gosh I don’t even remember how many books I still get the nerves. Maybe even more so than when I first started. I worry that I’ve gone too far, that I’ve not gone far enough, that I will let fans down. That this will be the book that everyone thinks is rubbish. It can be debilitating sometimes and block my writing. I don’t think the nerves will ever go away tbh.
The hardest thing about writing reverse harem is keeping track of everyone (ha), especially during group sex scenes. Which person is where, wait is that enough hands…where is everyone’s penis? Honestly, it’s hilarious but super hard to navigate.
7. Where do you get your inspiration to write? A: A lot is from songs or movies. I am a junkie for both, and sometimes it just hits me. Like when you get goosebumps and can’t get that scene out of your head? That burrows into my mind as I pick it apart and wonder if I could do that. Sometimes it’s dreams, I wake up in the middle of the night with vivid storylines and characters!
8. Any recommendations for someone looking to get into writing? A: A big one would be to make friends, don’t be scared to approach people, chances are they are going through the same or already have. My support base is what keeps me going when it gets tough, and it does, without these people, I would have given up a long time ago. Also, always use an editor (ha)
9. What is your favorite writing spot? A: I have a few but the one I always find myself in is the corner of my sofa, curled up with my laptop on my knee and earplugs in watching the world pass through my giant windows. Another is in my office surrounded by books!
10. What is your favorite vacation spot? A: I love Dubai, I even mention it in one of my books, it’s a place I never expected to go or love but I did. I go at least once a year now, the culture and people made me fall in love with it.I love Dubai, I even mention it in one of my books, it’s a place I never expected to go or love but I did. I go at least once a year now, the culture and people made me fall in love with it.
11. What is your favorite food? A: Burgers and ice cream. I’m a big burger girl, take me to a fancy restaurant? I’ll get the burger
12. What is coming next from you? A: A Lot! I have a tendency to never relax, always working on at least four projects. My most recent being Den of Vipers (A Mafia RH Stand-Alone). Right now I’m working on Worth’s final book, trying to do her justice, as well as the fourth book in my monster spin-off series. I also have a secret WIP that I am super excited to share, it’s a bit of fun and definitely steamy. After these…well let’s just say I have a long list. I won’t be stopping any time soon!
They thought they could get away with it, but they are sorely mistaken.
They have been judged. They have been sentenced. All that remains is their execution.
No one goes unpunished. We’ll make sure of it.
We are The Society and all who dare cross us will find their miserable end by our hand.
Don’t be fooled. This is not their story.
As long as I can remember, I’ve played by the rules.
On and off the football field, I’ve done everything that has been expected of me.
Until that fatal night.
Now my life and the lives of my best friends hang in the balance, hung there by a sadistic sinister shadow forcing us to do their will.
And it’s just my damn luck that I’m the first to be put on their butcher’s block.
I must prove my worth by eradicating a certain pebble in their shoe.
The order is simple.
To save ourselves, I must ruin another—a life for a life.
Meaning Stone Bennett’s life is about to be forfeited in exchange for my own.
The poor girl never stood a chance.
He’s all American perfection.
I’m the poster child for this country’s rejects.
He’s old Asheville money and privilege.
I’m the Southie eyesore people stay clear from.
He’s caviar dreams and champagne wishes.
I’m the trailer trash his momma probably warned him about.
I doubt it can get any further away from the elitist’s social spectrum than the two of us.
So why the hell is Finn Walker, Richfield’s football god, suddenly all in my face wanting my attention?
Nothing good can come from this.
I can feel it.
*The Society is an Enemies to Lovers, New Adult College Romance.
*Each book can be read as a standalone. However all four books in this series have an entwined subplot, that will only be resolved in the final book.
*Recommended 18+ due to mature language and situations.
See No Evil by Ivy Fox: You won’t want to put this book down. Just read it straight through, forget about food, work, everything! So much mystery. We found out through little tidbits that we wouldn’t get the whole story until after book 4, so it’s a little frustrating because there is SO MUCH MYSTERY!
Our main four guys are Lincoln, Colt, Easton and Finn, and we find out at the beginning that they have a secrete that might just tare them apart because that secrete, someone knows about. To keep their secrete hidden they must complete a task, and this time it is Finn’s turn. He must befriend Stone and then ruin her. Why? Who knows, Stone is this kick-butt chick with tatts and a bad (awesome) attitude. She doesn’t care about the money, only getting out of here.
You know how it goes, bad guy wants in, bad girl won’t let him, bad guy falls for bad girl. Then the betrayal. SO many FEELS! Fire, steam, chemistry, just all the things! Throughout the whole book you get a feel for how far the Society can reach, and their arms are LONG! This series is just gearing up to be one of those that you will re-read and keep finding new tells throughout the whole thing! Finn and Stones story might be over for now, but what will happen next?!
Everything changed the night he betrayed me, and now, the game has entered a new level.
Galen did me a favor, reminding me the only person I can count on is myself, and I’m more determined than ever to avenge my father’s death and avoid the destiny Sinner has mapped out for me.
Saint is used to calling the shots, but there are new rules, my rules, and if he wants me in his life, and in his bed, he’ll toe the line. They all will, because I can’t pull this off alone, and they owe me.
Sinner thinks he’s in control, but forcing me into initiation plays right into my hands. War has come to Lowell as rival gangs battle The Sainthood for ultimate power, and I enjoy rebelling from the inside, placing more obstacles in Sinner’s path while I exact my revenge.
But I’m not some innocent thirteen-year-old anymore—I have blood on my hands and lethal enemies on my tail.
I’m playing a dangerous game, especially where my heart is concerned, but there’s no turning back. I haven’t come this far to walk away empty-handed, and the more secrets we uncover, the more we realize how far-reaching the betrayal and corruption extend, and there’s no choice anymore.
The Sainthood must be taken down, and we’re the only ones who can do it.
This is book two of three and it’s not a standalone read. Due to dark themes and content, this #whychoose romance is only recommended to readers aged eighteen and older.
Rebellion starts right up like it was the next page from Resurrection. Harlow is going to have to get herself out of this pickle if she wants to survive. The guys are freaking out and they know they have work to do because of what Galen did. I for sure wouldn’t want to open my heart again, I would think the same way she is, not wanting to trust and felt betrayed by her new lovers. Her broken heart needs to harden! And it does, but for how long? When you have these sexy as sin guys, Saint, Galen, Caz, and Theo, and a side of Diesel to rile the guys up, it’s going to be good! Harlow is now off to initiation and we get to see her in action a bit and how her training with Diesel has made her a killing machine. She proves that she is better than even the guys and things will be going her way now. This book has a lot of drama and action for you to read through. The guys are starting to be okay with actually sharing Harlow, but it’s not like they have a choice, they can’t go against her or she will just leave them. HA, like she actually would. Her and Caz, so sexy. She just puts Saint in his place. And oh the sexy scenes! We even get a few scenes from Theo! I love Theo the most. Heartbreaking end and cliffhanger. I was so sad!! Get Book 3, Reign, soon here!
Happy Friday! I was first introduced to our author spotlight of the week by her debut book, Call of The Blue Heron. Sarah Hill is a new author who writes a tell tale book about romance, twists, and a happy ending. She is excited to see what comes this year and we are so happy to have her as our Author Spotlight this week. Make sure to check out our review here.
Alright now to the fun stuff!
Q: What got you into witting? A: I have always loved reading and getting lost in stories. I don’t remember a time that I wasn’t creating my own stories in my head. With Call of the Blue Heron I found myself thinking one day, what if there were a girl who had a child taken away from her and she went searching. As time went on I just kept adding to the story, all in my head. The company I worked for decided to no longer have a presence in every state and moved to 4 main hubs around the country. We could either move to one of these hubs or find another job. Some of my coworkers were out for a walk one day and we asked each other, if you could do anything when the office closes, what would you do. Mine, without hesitation, was to write a book. I finally started putting words down, with little confidence that I could actually do it having not gone to college. Once I got past thinking I needed a college education and I started to believe in myself, I really started getting the story down and was amazed with the way things just came to me. I often found myself wondering, where did that come from? But I have always had a huge imagination, so I guess I shouldn’t have been so surprised.
Q: What is your favorite character from your book? (Or another book/series) A: Allie is my favorite in my book, because she had to learn to believe in herself and as she id the grew stronger. I think a lot of women are led to believe their worth is less than it is really is. It gives me goosebumps to see someone find their strength and see how much they really can do. I love Jo March in Little Women because I relate to her. And of course Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter series because she wasn’t afraid to be herself.
Q: How did you come up with the characters? A: My main character’s name was borrowed from my niece, Allie who lives inRiverside, CA. My nickname for her is Kat, which is how I came up with Kat’s name. I only borrowed the names, not my nieces personality though, I think I made Allie more like myself, without the wicked parents. Cash came about one day when I was talking to someone about how much I loved Johnny Cash and it made me pause and think Cash would be a strong name for a male character and I wrote his character the way I see my husband, who I love with every ounce of my heart.
Q: What is the most difficult thing about writing? A: Having focused time. There are so many times you get in a groove and you get interrupted. For me, I feel guilty if I ignore the interruptions because I also felt I need to take care of my household and not just get lost in this world I am creating. Balancing that time was and is still the hardest thing for me, so I have a notebook I carry berywhere with me in case an idea pops in my head and I don’t want to forget it.
Q: Where do you get your inspiration to write? A: Everyday life. I will literally be outside playing catch with my dog and hear a birds song and stop and look for that bird so I can go look it up and use that bird in my story at some point. I also draw from my own life, in the book I am working on now a lot of the things being experienced by the main character are my own experiences. In Call of the Blue Heron, my love of Hagerman, Idaho and photography inspired the things I had Allie cling to.
Q: Any recommendations for someone looking to get into writing? A: Take a class! I took an online class and I learned SO much! I do not regret taking that class and plan on going back and listening to some of the classes as I write other books.
Q: What is your favorite writing spot? A: In my living room, on my sofa with a cup of coffee, a blanket and silence. I love when I wake up hours before anyone else and I can just type away with no interruptions.
Q: What is your favorite vacation spot? A: In Idaho, Hagerman hands down. I love Leavenworth, WA and anywhere in Washington state. I love visiting Riverside, CA to see my husbands sister and her family because they are so good for my heart. I love going to the beach, any beach because it is so peaceful and time just seems to go slower.
Q: What is your favorite food? A: Mexican food, I could eat it every day!
Q: What is coming next from you? A: I am currently writing a book, title still being worked on, set in New Plymouth, Idaho the tiny country town I grew up on. I think it leans more towards romantic tragedy right now.
The world ended and with it so did the rules.
I was stolen from my family and raised in the Wastelands to the North. I did what I had to ensure my survival. I became The Champion, with my history carved into my skin for all to see.
Now I spend my days drinking and hiding from my past until four newcomers offer me a job I can’t refuse. When my past and future mix I must once again rise and fight. This time it’s not for my freedom, it’s for my happiness.
*18+ Reverse Harem Romance. Warning this book contains scenes and references of abuse that some readers may find triggering.*
The Wasteland: Their Champion Book One by K.A. Knight. This post apocalyptic world is hot and steamy. Worth is the badass female who doesn’t let anyone push her around. Knight builds a world where there is no social media, limited technology and the entertainment is knives and bloodshed.
When the shit hit the fan Worth loses her father and brother to scavengers. She is brought up in pain in cruelty as a slave to the leader of the Berserker. When she is given the chance to fight for her freedom she doesn’t falter.
Worth now making a living as a bounty hunter on The Rim, at least as much of a life that is left in this world. In walk 4 steamy men, clearly outsiders, but looking for a guide. Try as she might Worth is unable to resist these men for long. Getting feisty with one man can get hot and heavy, with 4 things get down right dripping.
While Worth thinks she wants to be a badass lone wolf. She really is just like us all, deep down she wants to be loved and cared for. Letting people get close enough can be hard though. Who would trust in mankind when all you have known is evil? I liked how she doesn’t give up. No matter the odds she thinks she can take on the world and defeat her demons.
K. A. knight builds a world that we don’t see everyday life. The landscape is barren the weather has gone to shit. Human morals have gone out the window, people now live with little to no hopes or dreams. The characters are fierce and energetic making this a page turner, all thanks to the world Knight built.

Onto the Interview!
Q: What got you into witting? A:To be perfectly honest with you I couldn’t find anything on the market that sparked my interest in the least bit. So I decided to write something that I was interested in. If it happened to take off then wonderful.
Q: What is your favorite book/series of yours? A: Well that’s honestly a toss-up. I have Aurora series which is shifter paranormal reverse harem that falls on the side of thriller/horror. Then I have Once Upon a Raven that is a Edgar Allan Poe inspired book that is the first of many to come from the Poe inspired series I intend to write.
Q: What got you into writing thriller reverse harem books? A: Reverse harem is fun all by itself. But I tend to like my horror movies thriller action movies things of that nature so I brought that love and passion into my stories.
Q: What is your favorite character from your books? A: I’d have to say that Alaric and Jayce are my favorites from Aurora series. And Kol is my favorite from the Raven.
Q: How did you come up with the characters from the series? A: It honestly wasn’t that difficult. Aurora is basically me with none of the human restraints upon her. I took some of my favorite qualities that I thought were embodied by a specific animal and gave them to each of the mates.
Q: What is the most difficult thing about writing? A: Honestly, It’s staying focused, and ignoring those that decide to nick pick and rip a book apart instead of enjoying it for what it is..
Q: About writing reverse harem? A: That’s actually a funny answer It’s more like when you have intimate moments with more than one mate in a scene. Keeping track of where all the limbs and appendages are and making sure that nothing is misplaced.
Q: Where do you get your inspiration to write supernatural/shifter books? A: As i said earlier I absolutely love horror movies. I grew up watching some of the old favorite black and white movies all the way up to current day.
Q: Any recommendations for someone looking to get into writing? A: Definitely find a good editor and proofreader for your novel. Do not trust and editing program to handle your document the same as a human would. A program cannot and will not ever understand how an emotion needs to be portrayed.
Q: What is your favorite writing spot? A: Usually I’m sitting on my bed. or or I’m going for a long walk and using my dictation program.
Q: What is your favorite vacation spot? A: I’m not a big fan of being around large groups of people. So anywhere that I can isolate and just enjoy myself is perfect vacation spot for me.
Q: What is your favorite food? A: I love extremely rare steak. I love sushi and sashimi. I love all sorts of Japanese and Indian cuisine. And I also enjoy cooking traditional German or Italian dishes.
Q: What is coming next from you? A:There’s actually a lot on the table currently. Just finished up book one of Hybrid Royals. Working on book five of Aurora’s series Welcome Home Little Wolf. After that I am probably going to be working on Jayce’s daughters series and my Bear Claw Ranch series that will feature two of Dimitri’s daughters and Ellis. I also have a Valkyrie series slated for 2021. There’s also a reverse harem vampire novel that I have outlined. There’s also going to be a three book series with Klaus’s daughter that will be reverse harem. There’s several other things that are in the works in the background The hybrid royal series is going to be four books when it’s completed and then there’s another four book series that is on the back burner currently.
